Update: We are an FFL holder – Firearms CAN be shipped to us for engraving.

How Much will it cost?

Pricing is determined by design, material and size, and is occasionally subject to a design fee.
Please see our shop categories for further details. We have a Metal Laser Engraving shop, a Leather Laser Engraving shop, and a Custom Laser Engraving shop for projects that simply don’t fall into the first two categories.

Does Tergus Customs offer SBR / SBS and Form 1 engraving?

YES! We can meet and surpass the ATF engraving depth requirement of .003″ on Aluminum, Steel and Titanium.

Bulk pricing and large qty projects:

Tergus Customs welcomes bulk projects and large orders. Turn around time and pricing for these projects are discussed on a case by case basis.  If needed, written bids will be supplied for consideration. All bids automatically expire 30 days from issue date.

What kinds of surfaces can be laser engraved/marked?

Due to the fact that we are running 2 different types of machines, the sky is pretty much the limit.

First – We are running a US Made industrial grade CO2 laser engraving machine.

With the CO2 Laser Engraver, we can put images on Leather, Suede, Anodized Aluminum, Raw Aluminum, Chrome, Glass, Wood, plastics, other metals, and more.

Second – And we are running a Fiber Laser Engraving machine.

With the Fiber Laser Engraver, we can offer Deep Metal Engravings on Stainless, Aluminum, Titanium and various other metals.

What designs can I use?

Trademarks & Copyrights

Tergus Customs assumes clients are authorized to use trademarks and copyrighted materials presented to us for reproduction.Customers assume all liability resulting from trademark or copyright disputes.

What kind of Machine is Tergus Customs Using?

Tergus Customs is using a Xentech XLT2436.

The Xentech XLT2436 is an American made, industrial grade laser engraving system. When used in conjunction with Corel Draw X6, the Xentech system is capable of amazing image engravings. We typically do not engrave at less than 580 dpi resolution, and our system is capable of 1200 dpi resolution when needed.

We’re keeping the Fiber laser under wraps for now.

When is a design fee needed?

A design fee is needed in 2 instances:

– If a client wants to have a custom coat of arms or personal logo created.

– Anytime that a client wants a graphic design and cannot provide a vector or vectorized image in pure black and white.

What is a Vector or Vectorization?

A vectored design means that a mathematical algorithm has been applied to the graphic design to keep everything smooth and proportionate when sized and manipulated to fit your object. Without vectorizing an image, you will almost always get a poor quality image that is pixilated and choppy when laser engraving.

How clear are the images?

To give you a conceptual, most high definition advertizing posters are 300 dpi (dots per inch). Our machines are capable or 1200 dpi, and we typically do not engrave at less than 580 dpi.

How long will it take?

Please note that the below explanation excludes any shipping times.

The design process always takes the most time and it is dependent on what is provided for us to work with. When you are purchasing the design fee, please use the notes section to describe what you would like to accomplish. Feel free to also send an email with your order#, and add example pictures, etc as needed. The more info we have, the faster we can get something you’ll love back to you. We will confirm receipt of your email and be in touch with you shortly thereafter. If we have any questions, we will either email or call you. Then we will begin designing. We require up to 72 hours to get the 1st comp of a design back to you. Once we get your feedback, we will provide a second comp. And if needed, we will even do a 3rd comp.

Once a design is finalized and we have your item to be engraved in hand, the turn around time is approximately 3 business days.

What should I send to Tergus Customs once I have purchased the services I require?

You should only send the parts that are to be engraved. The only exception is motorcycle seats. This needs to be taken one step further – Please ONLY send the leather skin from your seat. Do  not send the entire seat.

Should I send my projects directly to Tergus Customs?

!!!Regarding Firearms!!!
